June 6, 7, and 8

Artisan Showcase

Presentation Guidelines and Tips

Time: 6-10min

Powerpoint: Provide a USB of your powerpoint or share your slides with theartisancrate@gmail.com

Introduction: Brief introduction of yourself and your background in your project: art, craft, or skill.

Material: You are welcome to use visuals such as images, or physical pieces to demonstrate your project.

“Ted Talk Style”: Beside showing how cool your project is, teach us something “deeper” about the project. Give key take aways about your craft that we as artisan can also glean from and be educated on. Begin with an engaging opening statement or question to draw in your audience. Here is your chance to geek out over your skill and show us the art behind the craft.

Q/A: We will have a short time for questions or comments from your audience. Keep your explanations short and straightforward. Stay within your time limit to ensure you cover all key points.

Advertisement: This is a great place to share with us your “business”. You are welcome to bring business cards, or encourage guest to follow you on your Business IG/website.

Ending: End with a memorable conclusion that ties back to your opening statement or theme.

Note:

If possible, we would like for you to show up 10 minutes early to set up and to make sure your slide is working.

We will provide a clicker for you to use.

You would still need to pay the $30 for the event since we are feeding you as well!

I want to present!
